CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Puppy Kindergarten

Start training your puppy early!  There is no time like the present to get your puppy off to a great start in becoming a well behaved member of your family.  Our Kindergarten class has an open enrollment, meaning that you can start your 4 consecutive week session while your pup is 8-16 weeks of age.  We address puppy raising issues like, biting, chewing, jumping, and housebreaking and cover foundation behaviors like sit, down, leash walking and coming when called.  The emphasis is on socialization, so bring the whole family!

Family Dog 1

This class is the next step for puppy graduates or a start for dogs 5 months and older.  It is a basic obedience class  in which we teach foundation behaviors such as sit, down, loose leash walking, stays, recalls, and leave it.

Family Dog 2

This class will help you increase your dog's proficiency in skills learned in FD1 by practicing in a fun and challenging environment. Whether you strive for a well mannered family pet, or a precision competition dog, you will learn new skills to help reach your goal. The curriculum is designed with flexibility to meet the needs of new students as well those returning for ongoing fun and practice.

Canine Conditioning

Improve your dog’s physical fitness while having fun!  We use FitPaws and TotoFit conditioning equipment to help build core strength, confidence, balance, and body awareness.  Whether you participate in dog sports, or play in the back yard, total body fitness reduces risk of injury and creates better overall health. For dogs over one year of age.

Conformation Handling Class

Learn the fundamentals or gain proficiency in handling skills for the conformation ring. Taught in a run-through format, students can benefit from the knowledge of an AKC Registered Handler. Topics covered are geared to the individuals' needs including, but not limited to, gaiting, stacking, free-baiting, exam and general dog show protocols. Enthusiasts new to the sport of conformation are encouraged to take a private lesson to start, in order to maximize results from class instruction.

Private Lessons

Private lessons provide one on one instruction; perfect for those with specific problems, time constraints or young trainers.  Offered Monday through Friday, by appointment only.
